Hello! As stated above, I am Madelin Ryan. That is a picture of my face.

 

Since the day I stumbled into my first reporting class, my life has completely focused on becoming the best journalist I can be. I quickly discovered that I want to be on the cutting edge of journalism and technology. Traditional media is still in demand because of the trust the audience has in it and the financial stability it provides, and I want to merge those benefits of a broadcast with the opportunities of new media. As a millennial, I have an affinity for these new media and that’s why I hope to work on the digital team of a broadcast station. Through in-depth video, photos, audio, info-graphics, hyperlinks, and interactive elements, I can expand upon stories from the daily broadcast. This would allow me to focus on using current media to tell stories in non-traditional ways as the way an audience accesses news changes. I am passionate about continually learning and stretching my unique storytelling capabilities.
